My name is Laura, or you can call me Noob.

I love playing video games. I love watching video games. I love reading about video games. I love making videos about video games.

Games have been quite a big part of my life, but I would never have actually considered myself a gamer until relatively. I grew up around games but I was very selective and also easily frightened, meaning the selection of games that I would play myself was limited. PS1 was the console I’d watch my Dad play. PS2 was the console I’d play with friends. My Game Boy was a Pokemon machine and my Wii was a family machine.

Fast forward to my early 20’s, I dusted off my PS3, booted up GTA4, and had a life changing epiphany. Video games can have stories. And just like that, a passion was born.

I’ve spent the last few years exploring everything the gaming world has to offer. And I can’t even express how much of a joy it is to find out just how much there is. The indie world. The AAA world. Everything between. All the consoles. All the genres. The genres within genres. The industry from a development perspective. The industry from a consumer perspective. The content creation communities. The fan communities. And the experiences that all of these things can lead to. I am a firm believer that there is something in gaming for everyone, just not everyone knows it yet.

With all that in mind, I created this website. A passion project, and a place for me to gush about one of the most consistent things in my life. Games. This is my ever continuing journey of discovering everything there is, satisfying my gaming itch, and maybe even gitting gud… but probably not.
